Your gift of time can make a real difference
Mackay Hospital Foundation volunteers share their time, skills and experience for the benefit of patients, their families, visitors and staff. Our dedicated, friendly and enthusiastic network of volunteers make it possible to provide valuable services to the community, offering a helping and caring hand in many areas of the hospital.
The valuable services provided by our volunteers from Monday to Saturday each week include:
Manning the Information Desk in the foyer of the hospital
Daily Children's Play Group in the Child and Adolescent Unit
Daily trolley service throughout the hospital campus
Daily library trolley service distributing magazines to patients
Assistance with fundraising activities
Support and assistance in various wards, including the Emergency Department, BreastScreen Clinic and Day Surgery
Whether you are available weekly, fortnightly, monthly or as required, your skills and contribution will be valued and appreciated. In return for the investment of your time, you will get to be part of a friendly, enthusiastic group of volunteers and be rewarded by knowing that you are providing a valuable service for your local community.
